Nut Bread Recipe

2 cups Pillsbury’s Best Flour
1/3 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nut meats
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons shortening
1 egg

Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg and milk, and shortening melted and cooled. Break nut meats coarsely and fold into mixture. Bake in deep pan, well greased in moderate oven, 375 degrees F. for 40-45 minutes.
