Coconut Apple Betty

4 tart apples
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 cup Baker’s Coconut
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons butter

Arrange layer of apples (pared, cored and sliced) in greased baking dish. Cover with bread crumbs and coconut. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Repeat until all ingredients are used, topping with coconut. Bake, covered, in moderate oven (350 degrees F.) 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer, or until apples are soft. Serves 6.
