Many hot Christmas toys from the past were fads. But some retro toys live on. They might fade in popularity for a bit, but they often enjoy a resurgence.
Many toys I loved from when I was a child, were actually invented many years before I was born and were simply popular once again and many are considered to be classic toys. For example, I loved Silly Putty, Pick up sticks, Tinker Toys, ViewMaster, Slinkies, Super Balls, Magic 8 Ball, Easy Bake Oven and Colorforms. As a kid, I didn’t know these were around long before I was born. Some make a comeback when sold to another toy company and/or might have a modern twist, too.
Hot toys are not necessarily favorite toys.
