Flaky Biscuits made with Mazola are friendly to rib-sticking beef stews

Flaky Biscuits

2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup Mazola Corn Oil
2/3 cup milk

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend Mazola in thoroughly with fork. Add milk; mix until dough forms. Lightly knead on a floured board, 15-20 times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with floured biscuit butter. Place around stew, bake in 450 degrees F. (very hot) oven until lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Makes 12 (2 inch) biscuits.

Buttermilk Biscuits: Follow recipe for Flaky Biscuits, adding 1/4 teaspoon baking soda to dry ingredients and substituting buttermilk for regular milk.
